Are you considering serving this summer at GBCC?
Serving at camp is not always an easy vocation; you must come with a sincere love for the Lord Jesus Christ, a desire to serve Him in any way, and a definite conviction that Guelph Bible Conference Centre is where the Lord wants you to serve Him this summer. (2 Corinthians 5:14-21)
Serving at GBCC is an opportunity to be part of a Christian community, develop gifts & workplace skills, serve in ministry and build life-long friendships.
There are several ways to serve this summer:
- If you are 14 years old and interested in participating in our counsellor in training program either for our Explorer Week or Day Camp Program, please fill out our Volunteer Application and select Counsellor in Training. Choose either Explorer Week or Day Camp.
- If you only have a week or two available but would like to offer your time to the summer ministry at GBCC, we have lots of opportunities available; from counselling at one of our weeklong overnight camps to serving in maintenance, housekeeping, food services, or lifeguarding, there are many ways to get involved and serve the Lord. These positions are 100% volunteer, but you will receive a letter of recognition for your volunteer service to be used for your volunteer hours at secondary school or for other educational or vocational purposes. - If you are interested in spending more of your summer serving in the ministry at GBCC, we are looking for individuals to join our Summer Team Program.
Our Summer Team Program includes not only serving in the area that best meets your skills and interests, but also includes participation in daily devotions, chapel attendance, social activities and being part of the overall community at GBCC.
Available positions:
- Day camp counsellors
- Lifeguards
- Food Service Staff
- Maintenance Staff
- Housekeeping Staff
Summer Team members receive an honorarium as well as a letter of recognition for their volunteer service. To be considered for the honorarium, you must commit to a minimum of 4 weeks of the summer and be 16 years of age or older. Honorariums offered will be based on maturity and experience.
