1. The Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the revealed word of God.  It was inspired by God and written under the direct guidance of the Holy Spirit.  It is infallible and free of error in the original writings.  (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21)
  2. There is one God who eternally exists in three distinct and co-equal persons:  The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit.  (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, Ephesians 4:4-6, Hebrews 9:14)
  3. God is the Creator of all things through the agency of the Son.  God is holy and cannot look upon sin or be associated with evil in any way.  In His great love, God the Father sent the Son into the world to die for those who were still sinners.  God is the blessed and only Ruler of all things, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, to be honoured above all.  (Genesis 1:1, John 1:1-3, 1 John 4:8-10, Romans 5:8, Timothy 15:16)
  4. The Lord Jesus Christ, God the Son, entered human history as truly man and truly God.  He was born of a virgin, being supernaturally conceived by the Holy Sprit.  He lived a perfect, sinless life then shed His blood and died on the cross as a perfect, atoning and final sacrifice for our sins.  He rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the Father’s right hand in Heaven and is now there as our only High Priest and only Mediator with God.  (1 Timothy 3:16, Luke 1:35, Matthew 1:20, John 10:30, 1 Peter 2:24, Luke 24:39, Ephesians 1:20, Hebrews 4:14-16, 9:24, 10:12-14; 1 Timothy 2:5,6)
  5. The Holy Spirit is at work in the world, reproving the world of sin, and indwelling, sealing and placing in Christ all believers at their conversion.  He is the Comforter who instructs believers in the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ to equip and empower them for service.  (John 16:7-11; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 4:30; John 14:16-16,26; 15:26,27)
  6. Adam and Eve were created by God in a state of innocence.  By a deliberate act, they sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God.  Sin is now passed down through Adam.  All his descendants are born into the world as sinners who sin in thought, word and deed.  To sin is to miss God’s hold standard as laid out in the Bible.  (Genesis 2:6,7; Romans 2:23; 5:12; 6:23)
  7. Salvation from spiritual death is available to all who believe in the one and only Saviour of the world, the Lord Jesus Christ.  A restored relationship with God is available through His shed blood.  Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.  All who accept Christ are saved, becoming children of God (being born again) while all who reject Him are lost and separated from God.  Water baptism, membership in human organizations, taking of ‘sacraments’, or acts of penance will never provide salvation as it is only available by faith in Christ alone, apart from works.  (John 3:16-18; 36; 14:6; Ephesians 2:8-9)
  8. The Church, which is the body and bride of Christ, is composed of all persons who truly believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal and only Saviour.  All believers are incorporated into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit, and have thus become members with each other of that body, each having a position of priesthood.  Local gatherings of believers have human leaders to shepherd the local flock.  However, there is no leader of the Universal Church other than the Lord Jesus Christ.  He directs the activities of the Church on earth and will one day return for His bride.  (Ephesians 1:22,23; 4:25; 1 Peter 2:9; Colossians 1:18; Titus 1:5-9; Acts 10:25,26; 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17)
  9. There will be a bodily resurrections of all people to everlasting blessing for the saved and everlasting, conscious punishment for the lost.  (Daniel 12:2; Revelation 20:11-15)
  10. In the beginning God created male and female in His image. (Genesis 1:27, Genesis 5:2, Matthew 19:4, Mark 10:6). In the beginning, God also instituted marriage between one man and one woman to the exclusion of all others for a lifetime. Any sexual relationship outside of God’s plan for marriage constitutes sin. (Genesis 2:20-25; Malachi 2:15,6; Romans 1:21-27; 1 Corinthians 6:12 – 7:40).
