Holding Fast the Faithful Word: Responding to Counterfeit Christianity

In recent years, a noticeable number of Evangelicals have been drawn toward historic liturgical traditions such as Eastern Orthodoxy and Roman Catholicism, and in some cases even toward movements beyond historic Christianity, such as Mormonism. What explains this renewed attraction to ancient institutions, sacramental worship, and visible authority? This conference will explore the spiritual and theological forces behind this trend and evaluate them in light of Scripture, considering how believers can distinguish between historical continuity and biblical fidelity, and what it truly means to “hold fast the faithful word” (Titus 1:9) in an age increasingly captivated by tradition.
