Family Camps

Our family camps are popular for many reasons. Experience excellent Bible teaching from God’s Word and enjoy delicious, first-rate meals prepared by our food service staff, while taking advantage of a perfect balance of free time and organized activities. Some of the many activities include swimming, miniature golf, shuffleboard, climbing wall and horseshoes. Or join a tournament and compete with other campers in ping-pong, scrabble, foosball and more. Planned activities such as hiking, canoeing, golf and bike rides are also part of the week’s activities.

You may be ready for a much needed week of relaxation. GBCC is the perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful surroundings that God has so richly blessed us with. There is also the opportunity to enjoy the local area and take in all that the city of Guelph has to offer.

David Dunlap

David Dunlap is the president of Bible and Life Ministries and editor of Bible and Life Newsletter. Bible and Life is a literature and Bible teaching ministry. Bible and Life newsletter has been in publication for over 25 years. He is also the President of Cornerstone Magazine, Inc. He has authored six books. He has been in full-time Christian ministry since 1983. He is a graduate of Ramapo College, in Mahwah, NJ and has attended Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, NY. He serves and preaches regularly at Land O’ Lakes Bible Chapel, in Lutz, Florida. He and his wife live in Land O’ Lakes, Florida.

Peter Kerr

Peter Kerr grew up in South Africa in a non-Christian home marked by early loss, instability, and deep personal struggle. In his late teens, after years of loneliness and inner turmoil, he encountered the Gospel in a remarkable providential moment on a windswept beach. Through the compassionate witness of a stranger, Peter came to faith in Jesus Christ; a turning point that reshaped the entire course of his life. With no prior Biblical background, he began studying Scripture eagerly and was soon discipled in a strong evangelical church. While initially pursuing science education, Peter sensed a clear call to ministry and transferred to Bible College in Cape Town.

After graduation and two years of mandatory military service, years that proved spiritually formative, he served in a downtown Cape Town assembly and began a relationship with Dorothy Gammon, whom he married in 1987. Further theological study brought Peter to Canada in 1988, where he and Dorothy have remained ever since. The Lord blessed them with eight children (one with the Lord) and, in time, grandchildren. Peter has spent more than three decades ministering among assemblies across Canada, including sixteen years teaching at Kawartha Lakes Bible College. Since 2010, he has directed the Emmaus Correspondence Centre Canada, devoted to helping people study God’s Word.

Jamie Martin

Jamie and Darla Martin were married in 1989 and have three grown children and a daughter-in-law who are all active in serving the Lord. They are new grandparents and reside in Sudbury, Ontario. Jamie is an elder at Sudbury Bible Fellowship, a regular Bible teacher throughout Ontario, and a former editor of Uplook Magazine. He loves hosting Bible studies and conferences, including the infamous Bible Study Week in Sudbury each spring.

Mark Kolchin

Mark Kolchin has been commended to the Lord’s work with his wife Cindy since 1993. Mark established “Know the Word” Ministries in 1995 to encourage the study of the Word of God through conferences, webinars, Bible studies, and special events. Mark did not grow up in a Christian home, but God used a series of providential events to draw his family to Christ. In his early years as a believer, Mark immersed himself in the life of the assembly; youth group, Bible conferences, weekly meetings, and consistent discipleship from older Christians. These influences shaped his love for evangelism, his devotion to personal Bible study, and his commitment to the New Testament principles practiced in the assemblies.

Over the years, Mark has become a strong advocate for evangelistic zeal, diligent study of Scripture, and the priesthood of all believers. His ministry emphasizes the need to remain faithful to Biblical teaching amid cultural drift and to keep the Gospel central in the life of the Church. Mark continues to write, teach, and encourage believers to follow Christ wholeheartedly and to uphold the biblical distinctives that have long marked assembly testimony.

Jon Glock

Jon Glock was born in Chicago, Illinois. He was raised in a Christian home and trusted in the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior at an early age. Jon received his undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies from Emmaus Bible College in 1991. He also studied at Dallas Theological Seminary and received his M.A. in Biblical Studies in 1994. Since that time, Jon served in both youth and adult ministries at New Heights Chapel in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In 2005 he moved to Dubuque, IA, to serve full-time at Emmaus Bible College.

Jon served in various capacities while at Emmaus, including Vice President for Student Development and Vice President for Advancement.
